Published by Ubisoft, Rainbow Six Extraction is an online FPS multiplayer game and the 14th game in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series. In this game, players must gear up and fight an alien parasite that has contaminated the majority of North America.
Following the Outbreak event of Rainbow Six Siege, the parasite has evolved into a species called the Archaeans. Players can infiltrate Active Containment Zones and fight the Archaeans to save Earth from being infected. These alien entities do not need human hosts to survive, and can spawn through Nests scattered around the map. Take a look at these awesome things players can do in Rainbow Six Extraction.
10 Reduce The Sound Of Bullets
Stealth missions can make gameplay more fun in Rainbow Six Extraction. The Archaeans have taken over large parts of the cities in the USA, and can attack players from unsuspecting places on the map. Across these maps, there are a number of barrels that can be equipped to reduce the sound of bullets from weapons.
Assault rifles such as F90 and V308 can be devastatingly effective in taking out enemies. Equipping a Suppressor on these guns can diminish the noise from weapons while killing Archaeans. RG15 and Keratos .357 are handguns that make the least noise when equipped with a Suppressor.
9 Field Wall Can Protect Players Against Projectiles
The Archaeans are fiendish entities that can easily hunt and kill Operators in the game. The Research and Development team of REACT has created a few useful gadgets to give players an advantage in their fights. These REACT Techs include Arc Mines, Field Walls, REACT Light, and Scan Mines.
The Field Wall is a 6-meter protective shield that can be activated at any time during the game. It can guard the team against incoming projectiles from the Archaeans and keep the party safe during incursions. Players can hold up to 3 Field Walls.
8 Use Melee Attacks In Combat
There are more than 50 weapons that can be used to decimate enemies in Rainbow Six Extraction. From submachine guns to marksman rifles, these guns are terrific at mid and long-range combat. Shooting at the Archaeans can make them shout and cause them to gang up on players while completing missions.
Consider using melee attacks with the weapons to get stealth kills. Players can gain more Intel points on stealth kills. Melee attacks are also an effective way of destroying Archaean spillage on the ground to avoid wasting ammunition. They can also be used to open doors throughout the game.
7 Explore Over 12 Maps
New York, San Francisco, Alaska, and New Mexico are four Active Containment Zones spread throughout Rainbow Six Extraction. These regions are further categorized into three zones each, with increasing difficulty.
Maps in New York City feature zones such as Liberty City and Monolith Gardens, which have tons of tourist hot spots such as the Statue of Liberty. Eurydice Valley and Orpheus Research Center are zones in Alaska that are filled with closed spaces such as farms, cabins, and labs that are more suitable for close-range combat. The strategy applied for each map depends on the type of mission people are playing.
6 Unlock Operators Based On Their Abilities
Gamers can unlock 18 playable Operators in the game. Each of these Operators has a unique ability that makes them resourceful in battle. Players can earn XP and upgrade Operators to make them more efficient in combat.
These Operators include Doc, Ela, Fuze, Nomad, Sledge, and Vigil. Fuze has the ability to detonate explosives remotely on walls and barricades. Nomad has the ability to place proximity mines in strategic locations to knock back enemies and nullify a vicinity of hazards. Tachanka can deploy mounted light machine guns to mitigate Archaeans in large numbers.
5 Fight Archaeans With A Squad
Players can play with a squad of three members on a variety of missions. Rainbow Six Extraction is a lot more fun with teammates, as players can easily rescue Operators and destroy Nests without getting killed. Players that have purchased the game can invite friends to play for free using the Buddy Pass.
The Buddy Pass lets people invite up to two members to play Rainbow Six Extraction without owning the game. It works best across platforms that include PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One. It is valid for 14 days from the day they accept the invite.
4 Slow & Stun Archaeans In Battle
The dozens of Nests on every map each emit Sprawl, an organic substance that coats surfaces to slow the movement of players in battle. In addition to restraining the speed of Operators on maps, it can also hasten the movement of Archaeans. While getting rid of every splash of Sprawl on the map can be tedious, there are ways to slow and stun enemies.
Glue Grenades are REACT Tech gadgets that can be used to slow down Archaeans. It affects a radius of 10 meters. The Paralysis Grenade immobilizes enemies upon detonation and is tremendously useful in situations when outnumbered by Archaeans. Stun Grenades can disable enemies for up to 6 seconds.
3 Customize Weapons And Operators
Players can customize their Operators and weapons in a number of creative ways. From weapon skins to uniforms, players can unlock skins to enhance their experience of the game and impress their friends. Cubist, Deep Space, Midnight Storm, Overgrowth, and Smog Cloud are a few of the skins that can be applied to submachine guns.
Many Operators, including Doc, have a number of trendy uniforms that can make them stand out in multiplayer games. Scorch Troll, Stargazer, Crush Depth, and Alpha are uniforms available for Doc.
2 Encounter More Than 10 Types Of Archaeans
Archaeans are parasites that have to be dealt with brutal force. As players progress in the game, they can learn the abilities and weaknesses of the different types of Archaeans. Grunts, Rooters, Bloaters, Smashers, Tormentors, Proteans, and Apex are just a few of the Archaeans that can be fought in Rainbow Six Extraction.
Apex is a Tier 5 monster that is capable of summoning other Archaeans to fight by its side. It is vital to take out Apex as soon as it is spotted on the map. Proteans can take on the abilities of Operators, and use them against players to deal damage. Players can earn rewards such as headgear and charms by destroying Proteans.
1 Rescue And Revive Teammates
Staying alive is key to a successful mission. Keeping squad members in good health can go a long way towards decontaminating zones that are infected with Archaeans. Medkits are placed throughout the game to boost health after taking severe damage from enemies. Sending the location of the Medkits to squad members can improve their chances of surviving the mission.
Keeping an eye out for teammates with low health is crucial in Rainbow Six Extraction. Players can revive teammates in low health by approaching them in their time of need. People can also rescue Operators of allies that can be found during incursions.
Rainbow Six Extraction was launched in January 2022. It can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, and Xbox One.
