Texas man arrested for allegedly making bomb threat to Longwood Elementary
A Texas man is accused of threatening a number of schools Thursday, including Longwood Elementary.Ethan Curtis, 27, was arrested by deputies in Guadalupe County, Texas on local charges.According to Longwood police, the schools Curtis made threats to were in Guadalupe County, so it’s unclear why he called the Central Florida school. Members of the Winter Springs Police Department and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office assisted Longwood officers by researching the number from which the call was received.They traced it back to Curtis in Seguin, Texas.The school was placed on lockdown and Longwood police responded just after noon. Deputies did a search and no bomb was found.The school was released from lockdown.
