Neil Patrick Harris is sticking to his fitness goals for 2022, and he’s encouraging his fans to do the same. In a new photo on his Instagram page, the How I Met Your Mother and It’s A Sin actor flexed his biceps and showed off his abs at the same time, proving that he has been keeping up with his workouts since going shirtless in his vacation photos last summer.
The photo also includes a look at his Tonal machine in the background. The high tech, artificial intelligence-powered piece of $3,000 equipment which enables users tolift “digital” weights of up to 200 pounds. It features built-in workout programs, and measures reps, sets, range of motion, time under tension, and power all at the same time.
“Hi everyone,” Harris wrote in the caption. “How are your resolutions holding up? Mine are doing abs-olutely amazing (see what I did there?)!”
He also included a plug for the new issue of his newsletter Wondercade, which includes fitness advice from Luke Zocchi, the personal trainer who helped Chris Hemsworth pack on muscle over the last year for the Hulk Hogan biopic, and who programs the workouts on Hemsworth’s Centr app.
The mailshot also features healthy eating tips from his husband, professional chef David Burtka, who is in charge of their household’s shared diet plan, which focuses on fresh produce and prohibits fast food. “As you can imagine, living with a chef who is an advocate of not eating prepared foods has a lot to do with that,” Harris has said previously.
