Guadalupe County emergency crews responded to Kingsbury just before 7 p.m. due to multiple reports of structure damage, injuries and downed power lines.
Guadalupe County FacebookAuthorities in Guadalupe County are responding to what was likely a tornado touchdown that occurred about 6 p.m. Monday in Kingsbury, damaging multiple homes and potentially injuring multiple people.
Patrick Pinder, emergency management coordinator for Guadalupe County, said emergency crews from all over the county were responding to Kingsbury just before 7 p.m. due to multiple reports of structure damage, injuries and downed power lines.
He could not immediately confirm that a tornado touched down, although Kingsbury was under a tornado warning — meaning a tornado was indicated on radar — between 5:45 and 6:15 p.m.

Kingsbury is about an hour northeast of San Antonio.
“We have houses collapsed, and we have damage,” Pinder said. “We are doing damage assessments now, and we have several crews out there helping people.”

National Weather Service TwitterPinder said there were reports of injuries, but that nobody had been taken to hospitals yet. He said there was one report of a person trapped in a house that collapsed, but emergency crews were able to get the person out.
The National Weather Service also could not immediately confirm that a tornado touched down Monday night. It usually takes several days for the NWS to confirm tornadoes.
The NWS said it had multiple damage reports in Kingsbury on Appling Road, just off of Highway 90.
Several tornado warnings were issued across Central Texas on Monday night as a powerful line of weather moved through the area. Tornadoes were radar-indicated in Hays, Guadalupe, Travis and Bastrop counties, among others, as the supercells traveled east.
