He was inquiring about information about these. He had them and he wanted to just know more what the dynamic was, how to value them,” Thompson said. So, Thompson is helping the owners connect with the right people to preserve the games, learn more information about them, and see how much they’re worth. He can’t say much but they’ve been in storage for 27 years.“There was a video game store in Nebraska. And it functioned during the mid-90s. And it eventually closes doors and everything that was left, got created up and went into storage,” Thompson said. And the collection could potentially be worth millions of dollars.“Chrono Trigger is the one that’s getting the most commentary, Chrono Trigger is a game that a cartridge by itself in average conditions were $200 to $300,” Thompson said.Valuing everything, won’t be an easy task.“These games are probably going to get hours’ worth of research. I mean, there will probably be a team of people somewhere who do this professionally that will drop everything and get on this at some point,” Thompson said.
