The Steelers kept their playoff hopes alive with a win in their final home game of the regular season.

Their 26-14 victory against the Browns on “Monday Night Football” gives the Steelers a chance at earning a berth in the AFC. They must beat the rival Ravens on the road in Week 18 and get help.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger ended his Heinz Field farewell completing 24 of 46 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He connected with wide receiver Diontae Johnson for the touchdown, a 5-yarder in the second quarter that gave Pittsburgh a 7-0 lead. Rookie running back Najee Harris led the Steelers with 180 rushing yards and a touchdown.

On the other side, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield continued to struggle in Pittsburgh. He completed 16 of 38 passes for 185 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He connected with tight end David Njoku to get Cleveland on the board in the third quarter and threw a 1-yard scoring pass to Harrison Bryant late in the fourth quarter to cut the Browns’ deficit to 19-14. Mayfield is 0-4 lifetime at Heinz Field in the regular season but 1-0 in the playoffs.

Nick Chubb led the Browns with 58 rushing yards.

Cleveland (7-9) will return home to face AFC North champion Cincinnati in its season finale Sunday.

11:35 p.m.: INTERCEPTION STEELERS. Norwood picks off a pass from Mayfield and gives the Steelers a first down at the Cleveland 37. Roethlisberger takes a knee to end the matchup. 

11:30 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN STEELERS. Harris breaks free and rushes for 37 yards and into the end zone. Steelers lead 26-14 with 51 seconds remaining. 

11:25 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN BROWNS. Mayfield completes a pass to Bryant in the end zone for 1 yard. While the Browns still have two time outs, Steelers hold a 19-14 lead with 1:10 remaining. 

11:22 p.m.: Mayfield completes to Peoples-Jones for 15 yards, then rushes out of bounds at the Pittsburgh 22. 

11:18 p.m.: Mondeaux sacks Mayfield for a loss of 1 yard, then holds Johnson to 1 yard on the following play. 

11:16 p.m.: Mayfield spins left and rushes for 14 yards to give Cleveland a first down at the Pittsburgh 45. 

11:14 p.m.: Mayfield throws an incomplete pass on fourth down, but a defensive pass interference call against Pittsburgh gives the Browns a first down at their own 25. 

11:12 p.m.: Mayfield is sacked by Watt for a loss of 8 yards, then is sacked by Highsmith for a loss of 9 yards. 

11:08 p.m.: FIELD GOAL STEELERS. Boswell makes a 48-yard attempt and the Steelers lead 19-7 with 5:48 remaining. 

11:04 p.m.: Johnson rushes for 3 yards and is brought down by Allen and Norwood short of the first. Browns punt and the McCloud returns for 14 yards and gives the Steelers a first down at their own 37.  

11:00 p.m.: Tuszka sacks Mayfield for a loss of 5 yards and pushes Cleveland back to their own 18. 

10:56 p.m.: FIELD GOAL STEELERS. Boswell makes a 50-yard attempt that keeps the Steelers on top 16-7 with 9:45 remaining. 

10:48 p.m.: Mayfield throws an incomplete pass on third down and forces the Browns to punt. After the punt goes out of bounds, Steelers will take over at their own 43. 

10:45 p.m.: Mayfield completes a short pass up the middle to Hooper for 21 yards and gives Cleveland a first down at the 46.

10:42 p.m.: Highsmith sacks Mayfield for a loss of 5 yards and pushes the Browns back to their own 25. 

10:37 p.m.: Roethlisberger throws an incomplete pass and forces the Steelers to punt. Peoples-Jones returns for 7 yards and gives the Browns a first down at the Cleveland 30. 

10:33 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN BROWNS. Mayfield completes a pass to Njoku in the end zone for 3 yards and puts the Browns on the board. McLaughlin makes the extra point, but Steelers still lead 13-7. 

10:30 p.m.: Mayfield completes a deep pass to Peoples-Jones for 39 yards and gives the Browns a first down at the Pittsburgh 9. 

10:27 p.m.: Clowney sacks Roethlisberger for a loss of 8 yards on third down and pushes the Steelers back to the 4. Waitman punts and Peoples-Jones returns for 9 yards to the Pittsburgh 48. 

10:23 p.m.: Colquitt punts for 44 yards to the Pittsburgh 13. McCloud muffs the return and recovers the ball at the 5. 

10:20 p.m.: Chubb rushes for 7 yards and gets a first down, then rushes for another 3 yards on the following play.

10:15 p.m.: FIELD GOAL STEELERS. Boswell makes a 30-yard attempt that keeps the Steelers in the lead 13-0 with 8:24 remaining in the third quarter. 

10:12 p.m.: Roethlisberger completes to McCloud, who rushes out of bounds at the 14 for 12 yards.

9:48 p.m.: INTERCEPTION BROWNS. Green intercepts a pass from Roethlisberger and returns for 1 yard to end the first half.
